Confidentiality: Patient committee members must keep all information shared by other members and by the organization confidential and must not disclose any such information to any third party without the express written consent of the organization and/or the member providing such information.

Non-disclosure Agreement: Patient committee members will be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement before accessing any confidential information.

Data protection: Patient committee members must comply with all relevant data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Code of conduct: Patient committee members must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and must not engage in any conduct that could be considered to be harassing, bullying, or discriminatory.

Conflict of Interest: If a committee member has a conflict of interest, such as a financial interest in a company or organization related to eczema, they should disclose this to the organization and recuse themselves from any discussion or decision-making related to that company or organization.

Attendance: Patient committee members are expected to attend meetings and events. If a member is unable to attend a meeting or event, they should inform the organization by email at

Decision-making: Patient committee members will have the opportunity to provide input and feedback on the organization’s activities and resources, but ultimately the decisions regarding the direction of the organization will be made by the board of directors.

Remuneration: Patient committee members are volunteers and will not be remunerated for their time and effort.

Duration: Patient committee members will be appointed for a specific period of time, usually one year, after which their participation will be evaluated and renewed accordingly.

Termination: The organization reserves the right to terminate the participation of a patient committee member at any time if they breach any of these terms and conditions or if the organization believes that their continued participation is not in the best interests of the organization.
